This morning I decided to ignore all my alarms and just stay in my bed. Good times. Anyway, as I'm at home I thought I'd just update with a few bits I've done over the last few months but haven't managed to put up yet!

Christina Ricci Dream Sequence

Currently sitting at my desk at home getting ready to thwack out some small scale paintings. God knows, it's definitely about time I created something - for the sake of both my sanity and my degree!

The White Stuff

Woke up to six inches of snow this morning after a heavy snowfall last night. Last night, seeing exactly how much was coming down, vast whirls of mist and powder and huge fat flakes, unconcerned, resting gently on telephone wires, piling up into enormous sculpted wedges on parked cars and so forth, gave my boss a brief text about what I should do if the buses weren't running this morning. She says: start walking early. I don't say, but badly want to say: Oh just fuck off. Settle for ranting at long suffering parents instead. Buses were running. However, none of the shops were open apart from ours..........Hellish. At least that was my last day.

So here are a few images of the painting I've been working on. It measures about 1.5 by 1.5 and is painted in acrylics.
I've worked from an advert in a fashion magazine which I've cropped to an interesting angle and the geometric black and white is based on the shapes that appear in a corresponding collage that I made.
